ELY WINE BAR at 22 Ely Place, is where our story began. Erik and Michelle Robson located a vacant Georgian building on Ely Place, a place which would quickly change the Irish wine-scene.
The ELY family boasts over 1200 different wines plus a range of craft beers, premium whiskeys, gins, Cognac, Armagnac, and classic cocktails. Since 1999, ELY has been at the forefront of the Irish wine scene–being the first to truly deliver great wines by the glass and by the bottle. Today ELY continues to pioneer wine through our knowledge and research, repeatedly being awarded best wine bar and best wine experience in Ireland.
Today we continue to bring great wines to our customers, working directly with wineries in Barolo, Chianti, Valtellina and Valdobbiadene in Italy, Ribera Sacra, Madrid, Allela and Rioja in Spain and Bordeaux, Champagne, the Cotes du Rhone and the Loire in France. We’ve built up relationships with some of the most highly regarded wineries, mostly family businesses, to add depth across vintages, styles and grape varieties. We also work with some of the very best Irish wine importers to create a dynamic, ever evolving selection of wines.
Our offering now extends beyond our wine bars with our wine shop, ELY Wine Store, in Maynooth and our online wine shop, meaning you can enjoy our wines anywhere in Ireland.
